1. Introduction

Truth & Tradition Publishing ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using our website, services, or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

This policy is intended to cover information collected through our website, sales platforms, contact forms, email newsletters, order processing, and any other interactions with our services.

2. Information we collect

We collect two types of information: Personal Information (information that identifies you or can be reasonably linked to you) and Non-Personal / Aggregate Information.

Personal Information (examples)

  • Contact details: name, email address, postal address, phone number.

  • Account and login details if you register (username, hashed password).

  • Payment and billing information (payment card details, billing addresses) — when you make purchases through our site.

  • Purchase history and transaction details.

  • Communications you send us (e.g., emails, contact form messages, customer service notes).

  • Shipping addresses necessary to deliver physical goods.

  • IP address and device identifiers where required to provide security, fraud prevention, and analytics.

Non-personal / Aggregate Information

  • Browser type, operating system, pages visited, referral URLs, and other usage statistics collected through cookies and similar technologies.

  • Aggregated and anonymized analytics (e.g., total number of visitors, most-viewed pages) that cannot reasonably identify an individual.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you:

  • Create an account, place an order, or submit a contact/support request.

  • Sign up for newsletters, promotions, or marketing communications.

  • Communicate with us by email, phone, or through forms on our site.

We also collect information automatically via cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies when you visit our site (see our Cookie Policy section). In addition, we may receive information from third parties such as payment processors, shipping companies, analytics providers, and advertising partners.

4. Why we collect your information and legal bases (where applicable)

We collect and process personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and fulfill orders and services. Processing purchases, billing, shipping, and order support.

  • To communicate with you. Responding to inquiries, sending transactional emails, order confirmations, shipping notices, and customer service messages.

  • To improve our services and website. Site analytics, product development, troubleshooting, and monitoring site performance.

  • For marketing and promotions. With your consent where required, we may send newsletters, offers, and promotional content. You can opt out at any time.

  • To comply with legal obligations. Responding to lawful requests from courts, regulators, or law enforcement.

  • To prevent fraud and maintain security. Verifying identity and preventing or investigating security incidents.

If you are located in the United States, the legal bases for processing include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate business interests (e.g., operating and securing our business and improving services). For California residents, certain additional consumer rights may apply (see Section 9).

5. Cookies, tracking and similar technologies

We and our third-party service providers use cookies and similar technologies (including local storage, web beacons, and pixels) to collect information about how you use our website. These technologies allow us to recognize your device, remember site preferences, analyze traffic, and serve relevant content.

Categories of cookies we use include:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Required for core site functionality (shopping cart, login, security).

  • Performance and analytics cookies: To understand and improve site usage and performance (for example, Google Analytics).

  • Functionality cookies: To remember user preferences and provide enhanced features.

  • Advertising/targeting cookies: Used by third parties to deliver relevant advertising if applicable (we do not currently run advertising on the site).

You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

6. Third parties and disclosures

We may share personal information with third parties for business purposes, including:

  • Service providers and processors: Payment processors, shipping carriers, email and marketing platforms, analytics providers, and cloud hosting providers necessary to deliver our services.

  • Legal and regulatory requests: If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

  • Business transfers: In the event of a corporate reorganization, merger, sale, or asset transfer, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

We require third-party service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards and to only process your information as instructed.

Automated decision-making and profiling. We do not perform automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on individuals. We do not serve targeted advertising on the website; our newsletter is opt-in and human-managed.

7. Payments and financial information

We use third-party payment processors (for example, Stripe, PayPal, or the payment options available through Wix Payments) to collect payment information. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; payment processing is handled by secure, PCI-DSS-compliant providers. Please refer to your payment provider’s privacy policy for details on how payment information is handled.

8. Data storage, security, and retention

We take commercially reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no transmission or storage system is completely secure. Payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Retention: We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. Retention periods vary by the category of information and applicable law.

9. California residents (CCPA/CPRA-related rights)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These rights may include:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell or share about you.

  • Right to request deletion of your personal information subject to certain exceptions.

  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (if any).

  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

How to make a privacy request. To exercise any privacy rights (access, deletion, opt-out, data portability), submit a request via our Contact Us page. Please include sufficient information to allow us to locate your records (for example, the email address associated with your account). We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling requests and will respond within the time frames required by applicable law. For California residents, please include the phrase “California Privacy Request” in your message.

Do Not Sell or Share. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising or other commercial purposes. We do not run targeted advertising on this site. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals and other universal opt-out mechanisms. If you wish to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link on the footer of this website or enable GPC in your browser. If you are a California resident and believe we have sold or shared your data, contact us via the Contact Us page.

Note about international targeting. We do not sell or ship products internationally and do not target residents of the EEA or UK.

10. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13 (or a higher minimum age where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the applicable age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable age without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

If you believe we may have information from a child in this age group, please contact us immediately.

11. International data transfers

Because we operate in the United States and rely on third-party service providers that may operate in multiple countries, your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Those transfers are made to enable hosting, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, and order fulfilment.

Where transfers are subject to data protection laws (for example, transfers involving personal data of residents of the EEA or UK), we will take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. Note: we do not sell or ship products internationally and do not target residents of the EEA or UK.

12. Data breach notification

In the event of a security incident or data breach affecting personal information, we will comply with applicable legal requirements for notifying affected individuals and regulators. Where required by law, we will provide notice without unreasonable delay and in a manner consistent with legal obligations.

13. Links to other websites

Our site may contain links to third-party websites, services, or social media platforms. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of third-party websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of other websites before providing personal information.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or services. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a revised Effective Date. If we make significant changes that affect existing account holders, we will take reasonable steps to notify users who have registered accounts on our site (for example, by sending an account notice) and will provide a summary of material changes.
